The Capodimonte Museum hosts an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to Caravaggio's genius. Two works created during the famous artist's Neapolitan stays face each other:

- the "Ecce Homo", painted in Naples four centuries ago and rediscovered only in 2021 in Madrid, special guest of the Museum

- the masterpiece "The Flagellation of Christ"

This popular festival in honor of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary has its roots in religious devotion and transforms into a great manifestation of collective joy.

The festival celebrates the Madonna of Piedigrotta and this year, on the occasion of the jubilee, the statue of the Madonna will go out into Naples' streets on September 14 with a parade of children dressed in paper on Via Cesario Console.

September 14 - Via Cesario Console and Church of San Francesco di Paola.

French artist JR, famous for coloring with his collages the facades of historic and monumental buildings around the world, has chosen Naples for the eighth chapter of his "Chronicles" series.

After photographing the Neapolitan soul through its faces and characters for months, JR's collage appeared in May on the facade of Naples Cathedral: at the Gallerie d'Italia on Via Toledo, throughout September and until October 5, you can retrace the photographic story that led to the composition of the mosaic to experience the behind-the-scenes of the artist's work.

Until October 5 - Galleries of Italy.

The ancient city of Herculaneum, buried under lapilli and ash during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD along with Pompeii, joins the European Heritage Days with a suggestive evening event: from 8 PM to 11 PM the archaeological park lights up to offer a free visit among illuminated buildings and artistic performances.

A novelty of this 2025 edition is the free app "Ercolano Digitale", which will guide visitors along a multimedia route enriched with historical and artistic content.

September 27 - Archaeological Park of Herculaneum (Na).

In Naples' most iconic square, a musical event that combines art and solidarity to fight violence against women.

This initiative has already had great success in the two previous editions, at Campovolo in Emilia Romagna in 2022 and the double sold out at Verona Arena in 2024.

The exhibition constitutes an important opportunity to present to the public, for the first time, a selection of about 600 objects among the most representative of those confiscated.

Until September 30 - MANN, National Archaeological Museum of Naples.

In the heart of the historic center, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore alla Pietrasanta welcomes a selection of Pablo Picasso's works to tell the creativity of the Spanish artist through posters, ceramics, and engravings.

The exhibition includes  unique original works and reproductions for a total of 107 works belonging to private collections.
