Let’s begin our roundup of Naples’ main events with a fascinating day dedicated to the delicious wines of Southern Italy. At the Hotel Excelsior, near the seafront, the preview of VitignoItalia will take place. It is one of the most important wine events in Italy, now in its 20th edition.

This preview offers a glimpse of the highlights and innovations that will feature the main event (scheduled for May 17–19, 2026): producers, winemakers, wineries, international experts, sommeliers, and simple enthusiasts of Italian wine treasures will gather to discuss, create commercial ties, or simply taste the best labels on the market. A special focus will be about protection and exploitation of the territory, as well as the future of production and export of the best Campania wines.

To ride the celebrating wave of Naples’ 2,500th anniversary, every district is involved, each representing a particular historical period — from the 18th century Viceroys to the Bourbon rule, from the Greco-Roman era to the Angevins, without forgetting the 20th century and today.

The first days of November are your last chance to admire the exhibition Capodimonte Double Caravaggio, which opened on July 24. In the splendid halls of the Capodimonte Museum, visitors can admire Ecce Homo, painted in Naples around 1606 and rediscovered in Madrid in 2021, “in dialogue” with The Flagellation of Christ.

Both Caravaggio masterpieces, evidences of the artist’s deep connection with Naples, represent the peak of his inspiration during his Neapolitan stays. For the first time, they will be displayed face-to-face, with Ecce Homo exceptionally as host.

Until November 2, 2025 – Capodimonte Museum and Royal Park, Naples

Secondigliano is a district often in the spotlight for negative news stories and, unfortunately, marked with prejudice. But it is unknown that within this suburban area many 19th- and 20th-century archaeological treasures worth discovering are hidden.

Once home to numerous noble families, Secondigliano boasts charming villas, well-preserved palaces, and secret gardens. With the initiative Secondigliano among Courts and Courtyards, these gems of enchanting beauty will be unveiled through a fascinating historical walking tour. You have the last chance to take part in November.

The Christmas season in Naples begins in late November, with its epicenter in Via San Gregorio Armeno, in the heart of the historic center. In this relatively quiet period, before the tourist rush, the world-famous “Nativity Street” will fill with stalls showcasing and selling the legendary handcrafted nativity figurines. These statuettes portray not only the traditional nativity characters, shepherds, and ancient trades, but also contemporary figures from Italian and international pop culture.

Strolling through San Gregorio Armeno means witnessing firsthand an art passed down for centuries among Neapolitan families—an ideal bridge between tradition and modernity.
