Inside the Accademia Gallery, you’ll not only find Michelangelo’s _David_, but other masterpieces from this great Florentine artist, including _Prisoners_ and _St. Matthew_. You'll also see a disputed work that is sometimes credited to the artist, _Palestrina's Pietà_.

This exceptional concentration of Michelangelo's works has contributed significantly to the fame of the Accademia Gallery, making it the second most visited museum in Florence after the Uffizi.
