From its medieval origins, when it was frequented by important families of the city, to the profound transformations of the 17th century that shaped its current appearance, this place of worship has always played a central role in the life of the community.

A Continuous Evolution

Over the centuries, the church has undergone numerous interventions and renovations, enriching its artistic and architectural heritage. In the 18th century, with the acquisition of the title of the church of Santa Cecilia, the building took on a new name and an even more important role.
