Florence + The Machine — One Unmissable Summer Date

As part of the extensive line-up of the I-Days in Milan at the Ippodromo Snai San Siro, the band led by Florence Welch headlines on Friday 3 July. The British artist and her band are on tour promoting Everybody Scream, their sixth album released on 31 October last year, born from a harrowing personal experience: a complication from a miscarriage that occurred on stage. Converge Return to Italy for a Single Date

Thirty-six years after their formation in Salem, the cult American band led by Jacob Bannon and Kurt Ballou returns to Italy after a long absence with their ferocious blend of punk, hardcore and metal. The date is Friday 3 July at Circolo Magnolia in Milan, presenting their latest album, Love Is Not Enough: opening acts are the English band Heriot, Spain’s Boneflower and Belgium’s Crouch. Mumford & Sons — One Summer Date for the Prizefighter Tour

When they play live, the London indie folk pop band moves, thrills and even brings their devoted audience to tears. Prizefighter is their latest work, recorded in just ten days and released last February. Marcus Mumford and company arrive in Italy on Tuesday 7 July at the Ippodromo delle Capannelle in Rome, as part of Rock in Roma: tickets cost €64.45 for standard admission and €98.95 for the pit.

Bill Frisell Trio & Greg Tardy — Four Dates in Italy

One of the most influential musicians in the jazz scene and one of the most representative guitarists of his generation, Bill Frisell is joined by Luke Bergman on bass, Tim Angulo on drums and Greg Tardy on saxophone. Lars Rock Fest — The 13th Edition in Chiusi

Mark your calendars for 10, 11 and 12 July: three days of music and community in the ancient city of King Lars Porsenna, in the province of Siena. This year the Lars Rock Fest, always free to enter at its usual location in the public gardens, features as headliners Deerhoof (opening Friday 10 July), The Cardinals (Saturday 11 July) and Geordie Greep (closing Saturday 12 July), formerly the leader of Black Midi. Bay Fest — A Punk Summer in Bellaria Igea Marina

In 2026, punk celebrates its first fifty years. On the beach at Beky Bay, the Bay Fest celebrations begin on 10 July with the triple bill of Strung Out, Belvedere and The Corps, and continue on 16 July with Rise Against, supported by Bad Nerves and Militarie Gun. AMA Music Festival in Romano d'Ezzelino

Villa Negri Park hosts the eleventh edition of the AMA Music Festival, the event at the foot of Monte Grappa from 10 July to 30 August. Four dates not to miss: Friday 10 July with Architects and President, with Bologna Violenta, Bowie and Ravine on the second stage; Saturday 11 July with Scorpions and Saxon, with Captain Mantel, Mad Dogs and Jukebox74 on the second stage; Sunday 12 July with Alice Cooper, The Damned and Messa, with The Sade, The Loyal Cheaters and To the Max on the second stage; Sunday 30 August with Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks and The Molotovs. Tickets at various prices, depending on date and area.

Kanye West in Tirana: The Controversial Live-Event in Albania

Ye, the stage name of Kanye West, will not be performing in Italy this summer: the Prefetto di Reggio Emilia cancelled his concert and that of Travis Scott, originally scheduled for 17 and 18 July at the RCF Arena (formerly Campovolo), for “reasons of public order and safety”. For now, at least: the organisers of Hellwatt Festival have promised to try to stage the show in a venue close to Reggio Emilia. While awaiting developments, the Saturday 11 July date at Eagle Stadium in Tirana is confirmed — it will be one of the few European dates. Tickets from €120.

Marilyn Manson — Three Italian Dates in July

The Reverend of rock is back with the first chapter of One Assassination Under God, the twelfth album of his long and controversial career. The blasphemous messiah performs on Saturday 11 July in Piazza Ariostea in Ferrara for the Ferrara Summer Festival, on Sunday 13 July at the Fiera del Levante in Bari, and on Monday 14 July at the Cavea dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome for Rock in Roma. Tickets range from €70 to €105, up to €300 for VIP areas.

Opeth and Blood Incantation — Two Italian Dates of Pure Metal

On the topic of intricate and heavy sounds, a must-see double bill for enthusiasts. On Friday 10 July at the Anfiteatro degli Scavi in Pompeii and Saturday 11 July at the Parco delle Caserme Rosse in Bologna for Sequoie Music Park, the progressive death metal with folk tinges of the Swedish band led by Mikael Åkerfeldt meets the cosmic-psychedelic death metal of the Denver quartet. No Borders Music Festival in the Nature of Tarvisio

From 11 to 26 July, the borderless music festival returns to the enchanting venues of the Valle dei Laghi di Fusine and Sella Nevea. On the bill for the 31st edition of No Borders Music Festival, the standout events are two international concerts at the Laghi di Fusine: the midday show on Saturday 11 July with Elvis Costello and Tom Smith, and the Sunday 12 July concert at 2 PM with Italian-American singer-songwriter LP, one of the most beloved voices in contemporary folk pop. Moby at Jazz Open Modena

After thirty years of history in Germany, the international Jazz & Beyond format makes its Italian debut. From 13 to 18 July, the Jazz Open Modena programme offers numerous highlights: one of the most anticipated concerts in Piazza Roma is on Tuesday 14 July, featuring the New York musician, reborn with his latest album Future Quiet. Ten years after 24K Magic, one of the world's most listened-to artists (with nearly 140 million monthly listeners on Spotify) is back with The Romantic, a distillation of pop, Latin rock, rumba and soul. His only two Italian dates are both at Stadio San Siro in Milan on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 July: opening acts are Anderson Paak and Victoria Monet. Tickets are priced between €80 and €246.

My Chemical Romance — One Date for the Black Parade Tour

Gerard Way's band is taking The Black Parade on tour twenty years after its release: a collection of post-apocalyptic sounds that perfectly capture the America of Trump's second presidency. The date is Wednesday 15 July at the Visarno Arena in Florence: special guests are Interpol, who appear on 16 July at the Parco delle Caserme Rosse in Bologna for Sequoie Music Park. Tickets from €86.

Hiromi's Sonicwonder — One Italian Date in Rome

Born in 1979 and a musician since the age of 6, Hiromi Uehara is a talented Japanese jazz composer and pianist. In the Sonicwonder project she is accompanied by a trio made up of Hadrien Féraud on bass, Gene Coye on drums and Adam O’Farrill on trumpet. The result is jazz overflowing with groove and energy. The only Italian concert featuring all four is on Wednesday 15 July at the Casa del Jazz: ticket price €40.

Bad Bunny in Milan for Two Concerts

An extraordinary protagonist of the Super Bowl LX halftime show with a political, spectacular and surprise-filled performance, the first Latin artist to win a Grammy for best album singing exclusively in Spanish is on tour promoting Debí tirar más fotos, his sixth studio album. The Puerto Rican singer arrives in Italy on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 July for two consecutive concerts at the Ippodromo Snai La Maura. Tickets range from €90.45 for general admission to €235 for the vecino standing area.

Fatoumata Diawara Opens Fano Jazz By the Sea

Back with her new album Massa, which ranges from rock to afrobeat, desert blues to electronic music, the Malian singer-songwriter headlines on Saturday 18 July the opening of the 34th edition of the festival at the Rocca Malatestiana. The Fano Jazz By the Sea programme features MonoNeon on 20 July, Alfredo Rodriguez Trio on 21 July, Hamilton de Holanda Trio on 22 July, Tania Giannouli Trio with Michele Rabbia on 23 July, Jacob Karlzon on 24 July, Fusion Experience Quartet (Dave Weckl, Richard Bona, Michael Lecoq and Ciro Manna) on 25 July and the desert blues of Tasuta N-Imal on 1 August, in the setting of the natural reserve of the Gola del Furlo in Acqualagna. Noisy Naples Festival at the Mostra d'Oltremare

Naples returns as the capital of rock with a two-day event set in one of Fuorigrotta’s most recognisable spaces, in the heart of Viale delle 28 Fontane, and one of the largest and most spectacular open-air arenas in Italy. Thursday 23 July features Franz Ferdinand, Skunk Anansie and Bluvertigo; Friday 24 July sees Kasabian, Subsonica and Planet Funk. Tickets for Noisy Naples range from €57 to €97.

Lorde — One Summer Date in Milan for Unaltrofestival

The young New Zealand singer-songwriter Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor (her real name) has been reborn with her latest album Virgin. In the midst of the Ultrasound World Tour, she stops off in Italy on Thursday 23 July at the Parco della Musica in Segrate, headlining the twelfth edition of Unaltrofestival. Opening the evening is Joan Thiele, touring with the songs from her second album Joanita. Tickets from €69 to €115.

The Notwist — One Show at Ferrara sotto le Stelle

To promote their latest effort News from Planet Zombie, their tenth studio album arriving five years after Vertigo Days, the German group led by brothers Markus and Micha Acher, expanded to a collective of seven members, returns to Italy as a genuine and established institution of indietronica. The concert is set for Thursday 23 July at the Castello Estense for the Ferrara sotto le Stelle series: tickets from €30.

The Weeknd — Three Dates in Milan

The After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour comes to Italy on 24, 25 and 26 July at Stadio San Siro, with Playboi Carti as special guest. The three consecutive concerts by Abel Makkonen Tesfaye (the Canadian hip-hop and R&B artist’s real name) are already one of the most anticipated and talked-about musical events of the year. Kings of Convenience — Six Summer Dates in Italy

The Norwegian indie folk duo tours Italy from North to South. After the date on 27 June at the Parco Bussoladomani in Lido di Camaiore for the La Prima Estate festival with Wolf Alice, Nation of Language and Don West, Gorillaz return to Italy to present their new album The Mountain live and celebrate their twenty-five years of career. The second live date is Saturday 25 July in Piazza Unità d’Italia in Trieste: tickets cost €90 for general admission and €115 for Pit Gold.

Agnostic Front and Dropkick Murphys in Azzano Decimo

The only Italian date bringing together these two legends of punk hardcore is on Tuesday 28 July at the Fiera della Musica in Azzano Decimo, in the province of Pordenone: the ticket costs €57.70. For those wishing to follow Agnostic Front on their summer tour, Vinnie Stigma’s band also plays on 29 July at Invincible Fest in Rome at Casilino Skypark and on 30 July at Spazio Combo - Suoneria in Settimo Torinese.

Fantastic Negrito — One Summer Concert in Rome

Blues, funk, rock, R&B, heartfelt acoustic ballads: in the world of Xavier Dphrepaulezz (Fantastic Negrito’s real name), a three-time Grammy winner with The Last Days of Oakland, Please Don’t Be Dead and Have You Lost Your Mind Yet?, the most diverse souls and influences coexist. To savour them, you need to see him live with his band on Wednesday 29 July at the Casa del Jazz for Summertime 2026: ticket price €34.50.

Of Mice & Men and Unearth Together in Milan

Despite the August heat, the Circolo Magnolia in Segrate hosts an intense evening of blazing metal and searing post-rock on Monday 3 August: Californian band Of Mice & Men, fronted by bassist and vocalist Aaron Pauley, present Another Miracle, accompanied by Boston’s Unearth, who lean towards a sound blending hardcore with melodic death metal. The ticket costs €41.

Ypsigrock Festival Returns for Its 29th Edition

From 6 to 9 August, within the natural setting of Castelbuono, a Sicilian town in the province of Palermo, the ritual of one of the most interesting festivals in the Italian underground scene takes place. The Ypsigrock line-up has something for everyone: from Chet Faker to Friko, from Black Country, New Road to Horsegirl, along with new discoveries such as RIP Magic and Casablanca Drivers. The full three-day pass costs €139; individual day tickets cost €56.

Ezra Collective — Two Italian Dates in August

Back on the scene with Here Because of Hope, an album that traces the Black diaspora across continents and decades from the Caribbean to the streets of London, the jazz afrobeat quintet headlines two summer concerts: on 7 August at the Teatro dell’Efebo / Cava di Tufo in Agrigento for FestiValle; and on 8 August at Masseria Ferragnano in Locorotondo (Bari) for Locus Festival, in an evening where they will share the stage with Mannarino, Dario Jacque and Napoli segreta.

Gogol Bordello — One Summer Date in Trieste

From gypsy punk to techno via folk and electro pop, the New York collective led by Eugene Hütz is back in action with We Mean It, Man!, released last February, four years after Solidaritine. To see them live, the only opportunity is on Tuesday 11 August at the Castello di San Giusto, as part of the Hot in the City Summer Festival which also hosts Amyl and the Sniffers on Friday 7 August. Tickets at €39.

Thundercat — One Summer Date in Bari

A brilliant composer (and virtuoso bassist) on the R&B, soul, funk and new jazz scene of Los Angeles, Stephen Bruner (his real name) is back making himself heard with his fifth album Distracted. The event bringing him back to Italy is the Locus Festival in Locorotondo, which hosts the concert on Thursday 13 August at Masseria Ferragnano. Accompanying Thundercat are Arya, Nico Arezzo and DJ Koco aka Shimokita. The ticket price is €40.25.

Frantic Fest — Ferragosto is Metal in Francavilla al Mare

The 2026 edition of the “extreme music under the Abruzzo sun” festival takes place at the Tikitaka Village from 13 to 15 August. Headlining the first day are Carpenter Brut in their only Italian date of 2026. The line-up includes veterans of heavy metal, thrash and black metal such as Sacred Reich, Venom Inc., Voivod and Mayhem, as well as trending newcomers like Igorrr, Obscura and Scorpion Milk. The full three-day pass for Frantic costs €165; a single-day ticket costs €65.

Salude & Trigu — Unmissable Events in Northern Sardinia

The programme put together by Salude & Trigu, the container created by the Sassari Chamber of Commerce, is truly rich: 350 events across 77 different municipalities. Among the festivals, the twenty-sixth edition of Musica sulle Bocche stands out, offering jazz and musical fusions from 16 August to 5 September in uniquely beautiful natural settings. Among the concerts, In Jazz 6tet by Nino Buonocore closes the ninth edition of JazzAlguer, opened on Thursday 4 June by the Tardo Hammer Trio: the date is Saturday 29 August in the breathtaking setting of Largo Lo Quarter. From 5 to 13 September, Gallura (Palau, La Maddalena, Arzachena and Luogosanto) hosts the thirtieth edition of Isole che Parlano, a festival of avant-garde music, jazz and folk curated by Paolo and Nanni Angeli.

Geese — Their First Ever Live Show in Italy

The 2026 edition of Unaltrofestival closes its doors on Wednesday 19 August with the Geese concert at Circolo Magnolia in Milan. From New York, the most talked-about indie rock band of the moment (thanks in large part to an effective digital marketing campaign) has three albums to their name (the latest being Getting Killed) and a world tour that started in Australia and is now reaching Europe. The ticket costs €43.70.

Tyler, The Creator — One Summer Date in Milan

The multifaceted Los Angeles rapper, performer and producer (stage name of Tyler Gregory Okonma) returns to Italy for a surprising and immersive live show, in support of his latest work Don't Tap the Glass. The concert by one of today’s most influential figures in pop culture is on Tuesday 25 August at Fiera Milano Live in Rho: prices range from €80.50 for standard entry to €126.50 for the Pit area in front of the stage.

Wolfmother in Italy in August for Three Dates

Champions of the most classic 1970s hard rock, the Australian trio led by singer and guitarist Andrew Stockdale plays on Thursday 27 August at Parco di Serravalle in Empoli for the Beat Festival (with Bergamo’s Folkstone as support), on Friday 28 August at Rock Planet in Pinarella di Cervia (Ravenna) and on Saturday 29 August at the Suburbiae - Unexpected Fest in Teramo at the Arena De Carolis, joined by Messa, Stoned Jesus, Shores of Null and Lowmax. Jazz:Re:Found — The 18th Edition in Cella Monte

From 27 to 30 August, the Monferrato becomes a welcoming space for one of the most personal, eclectic and carefully curated festivals in the Italian independent scene. The 2026 edition of Jazz:Re:Found is titled Homecoming - Where We Belong and features — among the many artists on the programme — Pale Jay, Mind Enterprises, Nu Genea, Aja Monet, Venna, Acid Arab, Sami Galbi, Berlioz, Kahil El’Zabar and Omasta. CSI — The Reunion with the In viaggio Tour

Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Massimo Zamboni, Gianni Maroccolo, Ginevra Di Marco, Francesco Magnelli and Giorgio Canali begin on 28 and 29 August in Marzabotto (Bologna) with a double date at the Festival Lupo di Montesole, continuing on 31 August at the Castello Scaligero in Villafranca (Verona), on 2 September at the Parco Archeologico di Egnazia in Fasano (Brindisi) for the Locus Festival, on 4 September at Villa Fidelia in Spello (Perugia), on 8 September in Alba (Cuneo) in Piazza Medford for the Festival resistente, and closing beautifully on 12 September at Villa Bellini in Catania for the Sotto il Vulcano Fest. Tickets at reasonable prices: you almost never pay more than €40.

Wilco — Two Summer Dates in Italy

As part of the An Evening with Wilco 2026 tour, Jeff Tweedy’s indie folk band offers two complete sets in the same evening, a short break between the two and no support act. The two dates, truly unmissable for fans, are on Monday 31 August at the Cavea dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome for the Roma Summer Fest and on Tuesday 1 September at the Esedra di Palazzo Te in Mantua for the Mantova Summer Fest: tickets range from €48 to €80.
