From 21 to 27 September 2021, the most eagerly awaited fashion event in Milan returns. Milano Fashion Week is finally in presence after the post-Covid era. A milder edition compared to other years, but one that gives a strong message of hope and recovery. A confirmation is Federalberghi di Milano's data, which recorded a growth in bookings for the fashion week in the Lombard capital.

On the occasion of Milan Fashion Woman, the CNMI selects a group of new brands that have the opportunity to present their collections of clothing and accessories for the first time during Milan Fashion Week.

The event takes place at the Museo Della Permanente, in Via Turati 34: Milan's historical, artistic and cultural association. Here, three winners are awarded prizes during the event, which they will support with concrete help in their expansion into international markets.

Once again this year, as in all recent editions of Milan Fashion Week, the focus is on sustainability in the fashion system. Returns of one of the most eagerly awaited events of the week, the Green Carpet Fashion Award, which takes the name CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards this year. This award recognises the brands and designers who have distinguished themselves by knowing how best to apply sustainability principles in the fashion industry.

The Fashion Film - Designers for the Planet stands out in this sense, presenting and bringing together some emerging brands that took part in the last edition of Milan Fashion Week and stood out for their strong environmental ethics. There was also a substantial value and territorial link sealed by the unique partnership with Franciacorta.

The project/event "We are Made in Italy: Black Lives Matter in Italian Fashion" is again this year. It is the collaboration between Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italia and Black Lives Matter in Italian Fashion - Collective. Thanks to this, five new BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Colour) talents have the opportunity to present their collections through a digital fashion show during the opening of Milan Fashion Week.

Fashion Bridges - I Ponti Della Moda (Bridges of Fashion) is a project launched in July and carried out with the Italian Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, and Polimoda (university of fashion in Milan). Four former students worked in pairs with four young designers at South Africa Fashion Week to present their capsule collections during Fashion Hub.

The Benetton brand, which has always been a worthy supporter and representative with communication campaigns, also agreed with these principles. This edition of Milan Fashion Week presents the capsule collection United Colors, collaborating with the Italian rapper of Tunisian origin Ghali.
