The day begins in Marzamemi, a vibrant and historic seaside village overlooking the Ionian Sea. Stroll through its iconic sea-facing square, visit the remains of the ancient Tonnara (tuna winery), and let yourself be enchanted by an explosion of colors, flowers, and old stone buildings that offer one picture-perfect view after another.The journey continues toward the Vendicari Nature Reserve, one of Italy’s most important wildlife sanctuaries and a true paradise for birdwatching enthusiasts. Walking along the trails and observation huts, you can admire the majestic pink flamingos that inhabit the marshes, alongside herons, storks, and black-winged stilts that choose this area as a resting stop during their migration. Before moving on, you will admire the remains of the ancient Tonnara with its fascinating Swabian Tower overlooking the turquoise sea.Finally, you will discover Calamosche Beach, celebrated as one of Italy's most beautiful hidden gems. Nestled between two rocky promontories, this natural swimming pool boasts crystal-clear waters and fine white sand, completely sheltered from currents. It is the perfect final stop to swim, relax, and immerse yourself in the pristine marine paradise of Sicily.
