Finally, Naples has the summer festival it deserves. On Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24, the Noisy Naples Fest takes over the Mostra d’Oltremare with a double bill bringing top names from the Italian and international music scene to the heart of the city. Accompanied by four side events at the Arena Flegrea, Noisy Naples is a concrete answer to a long-standing cultural gap.

For too long, Naples has lacked a summer festival dedicated to contemporary music, one capable of bringing together different spirits and styles. Born as a grassroots venture in 2016, Noisy Naples is now broadening its horizons, moving away from the showcase format and preparing a significant shift in the city’s summer life — a new location, optimized spaces, and a format that combines the classic rock festival with a stress-free musical getaway.

Sea, Sun, Music: Naples Has the Perfect Summer Festival

Beyond being a landmark cultural event for Naples and the whole Campania region, Noisy Naples is a special opportunity to live unique experiences in the city. Doing sports and admiring the gulf by kayak, practicing yoga, eating by the sea: alongside the festival, you can do anything — even spend the whole day on the beach doing nothing while waiting for the evening concerts.

A boutique festival model curated down to the smallest detail, Noisy Naples pairs concerts with exclusive entertainment activities that directly involve the audience. The idea is to offer a festival that differs from massive, large-scale events — a stage for fun, but far from the frantic movement of crowds, capable of meeting attendees’ needs for relaxation, adventure, and well-being.

Italy's Future Summer Music Stronghold

An overview of the Arena Flegrea

A city at the heart of the Mediterranean, close to three millennia of history, home to the world’s oldest university and to breathtaking natural, cultural, and artistic treasures: Naples is among the summer’s most sought-after destinations. Italian and international tourists are drawn to the old Parthenope by its beaches and archaeological sites, its nightlife, and excursions through the beauty of the gulf.

An emerging summer destination, easily reachable by train, Naples enjoys a renewed international image. Its unique charm, its symbols — from Vesuvius to the underground tunnels, from the Maradona mural to street food — and its thousand facets are redefining the city’s perception on a global scale. But beyond the classic tourism of art, culture, views, and delicious food, Naples has much more to offer.

The city has become a world lifestyle destination thanks to its unique heritage, its spontaneity, its authentic way of life. Naples is becoming ever more appealing: after Rome, it’s the Italian destination where tourists stay the longest. What’s more, their satisfaction with the city’s widespread beauty, hospitality, climate, and closeness to the sea is above average.

Noisy Naples Fest: Two Days of Great Music and So Much More

The icing on the cake for a place with this kind of historical and monumental heritage, nature, and food and wine culture is a festival that combines bands that aren’t easy to see live in the city, relaxation areas, food zones, and tours to explore the wonders of the coast right from the sea. Noisy Naples was born out of a real gap: a festival of indie, rock, and electronic music in Southern Italy. Something that didn’t exist before and that breaks down numerous cultural barriers.

Born from an idea by entrepreneur Mario Floro Flores together with a group of passionate cultural organizers, Noisy Naples is a community-driven project aiming to fill a void: the need for live music and culture in Naples and Campania. Always looking to a variety of genres, the festival has hosted many of music’s biggest names over the years, from Sting to Noel Gallagher, from Massive Attack to Editors.

The 2026 edition, taking place on July 23 and 24, changes formula and moves to a new location: from the Arena Flegrea to the Mostra d’Oltremare, in the Fuorigrotta district, ready to welcome up to 30,000 spectators in the scenic area of Viale delle 28 Fontane. The festival brings big names like Franz Ferdinand (making their debut in Naples) and Kasabian (their only Italian date) to the city. After the gigs, there’s time for exclusive after-show parties in the intimate and immersive atmosphere of the Arena Flegrea foyer, where you can dance to electronic, indie, and dance music.

Gates open each day at 5:30 PM and stay open well into the night. Organizers have set up a pass system with very advantageous prices accessible to everyone. The two-day pass is on sale on the festival’s official website and through authorized vendors. There are three ticket tiers: Pit Gold, Red Zone, and Green Zone, the latter sold out immediately.

Living a Perfect Summer Day in Naples

Between green and blue at the Mostra d'Oltremare

Mostra d'Oltremare

A summer music festival is often an opportunity for discovery. Noisy Naples aims to build a varied and loyal audience, from devoted fans to more casual attendees, who return to Naples every year to spend a perfect summer day — with family, as a couple, with friends, or solo. The Mostra d’Oltremare is the ideal hub for an itinerary in close contact with the city.

In the morning, you can take a dip at Bagno Elena, the historic bathing establishment in Posillipo, and stroll along the seafront to Castel dell’Ovo, with its spectacular view of the gulf. After a lunch break in Vomero, a visit to the Certosa di San Martino is a must — the monastery with the most beautiful view over Naples and Vesuvius. Those who prefer the buzz of the city can dive into Spaccanapoli; those looking for relaxation can take in the green and blue at Parco Virgiliano.

Concerts at Noisy Naples kick off at 6 PM, so there’s plenty of time to make your way to the Mostra d’Oltremare at a leisurely pace, surrounded by greenery and close to every amenity. Attendees have public transport, hotels, restaurants, landmarks, beaches, and concerts all within a few kilometers of each other. Thanks to the festival, Naples turns from a metropolis into a multifunctional village for music lovers.

But Noisy Naples offers so much more: an experience that combines live concerts with the sea and relaxation, an adventure to discover the most authentic and lesser-known side of Naples, exploring caves, villas, and unspoiled nature. We’re talking about a kayaking excursion on the crystal-clear waters of the gulf, far from the traditional tourist routes.,

A Unique Seaside Experience: Kayaking in Posillipo

Kayak Napoli

Going to Noisy Naples is also a chance to discover an unexpected side of Naples: seeing the city from the sea, a perspective you can never fully grasp from land. Kayak Napoli offers tours and excursions of every kind along the Posillipo coastline — by kayak, canoe, stand-up paddle, and bicycle, at sunset and during full-moon nights.

All you need is to know how to swim and bring sunscreen: children over age 4 can take part too. The experience is truly extraordinary — Naples seen from the sea is a living room that welcomes everyone who arrives. Vesuvius looms imposingly in the background, houses climb up the hillsides, Castel dell’Ovo sits suspended between water and rock, and the Certosa di San Martino watches over the city from above.

Aboard a light boat, you come to understand Naples’ true nature: a city connected to nature, facing the horizon like a pulsing body that breathes and vibrates, with islands floating along the border between sky and sea. A crossroads that for nearly three thousand years has pulsed like the music it has both produced and hosted — a source of cross-pollination and silence, tradition and innovation.

The Noisy Wave Experience package is the result of the collaboration between the festival and Kayak Napoli. It’s a complete experience of music, sailing and relaxation surrounded by the sea. The package includes entry to Lido Rocce Verdi, parking, a sun lounger at the Noisy area of the lido, continental breakfast, and a morning kayak tour before arriving at the festival. Availability is limited to 30 spots per date. In this case, tickets are available exclusively on Etes.it. Noisy Wave Experience is made even more exclusive by combining it with another new feature — the access to the Martini Lounge Area.

Luxury and Comfort on a Panoramic Terrace: The Martini Lounge Area

A sonic stage where rock and pop converse with new electro rhythms, Noisy Naples guarantees an exclusive experiential package: a premium area within Pit Gold, hosted on a spacious panoramic terrace. Capacity is limited to 100 spots per day to enjoy the festival in an exclusive and comfortable way: close to the stage and above the crowd, with dedicated bar, parking, and services.

The Martini Lounge Area is an elegant destination for those who want to enjoy the festival in the utmost comfort. A prime view, access to a dedicated bar before and during the shows, hospitality services, and a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere: every detail has been carefully considered to offer this audience an added benefit, tailored to the needs of both male and female attendees.

Great Live Music Exists in Southern Italy Too

Noisy Naples is here to prove it. Headlining the ninth edition are Franz Ferdinand on opening day — performing in Naples for the first time, on tour with the new album The Human Fear — and Kasabian on the second day, in their only Italian date. The band from Leicester is releasing its new album, Act III. Alongside the headliners, the lineup includes Skunk Anansie, producer and vocalist Grove, and four major Italian names: Bluvertigo, Subsonica, Planet Funk, and Pellegrino with Dance Rituals.

To keep the summer rhythm going, Noisy Naples pairs the main-stage concerts with DJ sets by Virgin Radio by Ringo, Addolorata, Esco X Bellettini, Yum, and Yab Killer (July 23), and Karlove, Curcio, Giuseppe Fava, and Obbi (July 24). But that's not all: at the Arena Flegrea, there will be after-show parties featuring San Juno and Editors DJ set feat. Russell and Elliott (July 23) and MYD and Soul Express Soundsystem (July 24). Access to the after-show events is limited to a certain capacity and requires the purchase of a special ticket.

In the spirit and organizational style of Europe’s best festivals, the offering is rounded out by a dedicated area with spaces for the audience and entertainment, plus markets and food & drink zones.

A destination too often underestimated on the Italian scene, Naples is at the center of a cultural shift with Noisy Naples Fest: a grassroots response closing the gap with major festivals like Milan’s I-Days, Lido di Camaiore’s La Prima Estate, and Rome’s Spring Attitude. An international destination, a creative hub, a solid business model: Noisy Naples is a cultural initiative on track to become one of the most recognized events on the European indie scene.
