Dressing in layers is recommended during the cold season. During summer, long trousers are better to avoid scratches. We will provide anoraks, safety helmets, trekking poles, and trekking shoes if you don't have your own. It is better to wear long socks and take a second pair of socks with you just in case! We will stop on the way to Mt. Etna for a coffee and to buy something to eat and drink during the hike.If you require any further information, feel free to contact us.

Around 9:30 AM, we arrive at the outskirts of the picturesque village of Zafferana. Here, we'll immerse ourselves in history, standing at the site of a lava flow that threatened the village during the remarkable 1992-93 eruption.

Taste the Bounty of Etna (10:00 AM)

By 10:00 AM, it's time to tantalize your taste buds with a curated tasting of Etna's finest offerings, including honey and other local treasures. As you indulge, convenient restroom facilities will be at your service.

A Panoramic Vista (10:45 AM)

At 10:45 AM, we'll stand on the precipice of wonder – a natural terrace at the base of Mount Zoccolaro. Gaze out at the breathtaking expanse of Valle del Bove, Etna's grandest caldera, as nature's marvels unfold before you.

Journey to the Depths (12:15 PM)

Around 12:15 PM, our expedition takes us to a secure lava tube cave, where you can delve into the depths of Etna's geological wonders with peace of mind.

A Journey of Discovery Continues

By 12:45 PM, we'll reach Etna Sud's tourist area, offering the opportunity to explore both ancient and recent craters. This leg of the journey promises an easy and captivating stroll. A break at the tourist station for refreshments follows, and around 2:00 PM, our return to Catania begins.
