The wine itself was fantastic - I personally enjoyed it most out of the 2 other tastings we had while in the area... will not mention names though :) Montemercurio is a small operation, whose crew clearly cares so much about their craft and made for a very welcoming and fun visit. Highly recommend the tasting - One of our favorite wines, great knowledge and patience

During our stay in Montepulciano for a month, we have had the chance to visit many wineries for tastings. This small family run winery in the hills a ... short walk outside the walls of Montepulciano is now one of our favorites. They focus on producing quality with their small 12 hectares, seem to provide extra aging compared to many others. Their patience and passion is obvious, and for us the Messagerio and Damo (both Nobile DOCG) and the Santo stand tall compared to the much larger wineries in the region. It helped knowing in advance they only have bread sticks and water, while many other wine tastings provide the option of cheese, cold cuts or even meals from a kitchen. In our opinion, the tasting experience would be even better to have some local meats and cheeses for the Rosso and Nobile, but the quality is still apparent without. It is a little bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Leggi di più

I liked the tasting very much. My introduction to Montemercurio complete line of wines. Totally impressed. Bought a bunch of wine to be shipped to Ame... rica. My first stop in Tuscany next year will be to the winery to buy a case of wine for the guests at our villa. Only suggestion would be to reduce the price of the tasting when a substantial purchase of wine is made. That said I now have a new favorite winery for Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Leggi di più

We had a really nice afternoon, doing the wine tasting. The location, the view from the house, the setting, the garden, and of course the host and the... tasting was really good. Maybe one recommendation: add some additional cheese, meat, bread / oil to the tasting and fewer wines to make it more complete. Leggi di più

Lovely experience

We had a wonderful time at Montemercurio. Our host was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were able to taste some delicious and diverse wines,... as well as sample the gorgeous olive oil.
